Freeze frame
People captured in mid-clap always look really weird -- like they're either pretending to hold something invisible or squashing a bug.

What're they clapping about?
Is this anything like how George W. Bush was consistently photographed with his mouth open? Obama is occasionally photographed in mid-speech but he manages not to look as idiotic. I can't explain the difference.
They're clapping because they're successful young scholars.
